4. Nevada School Funding Delayed
Over $61 million in federal funding for Nevada schools, including Clark County’s after-school and English-learner programs, remains on hold as of today, with school just a few weeks away. CCSD Superintendant Jhone Ebert said that she has been in communication with Nevada’s top elected officials to hopefully find out answers. Congress passed the funding in March, but the Office of Managment and Budget admits it comes down to the president disagreeing with the biparisan funding package.
