According to a statement post on X at 10 AM Thursday, NV Energy says that just over 1,000 people are still without power over a day since the storm that rolled through the Valley knocked over 50 utility poles causing around 3,000 customers to go without electricity.

As of 5 PM thursday, there is no update from NV Energy on when the the remaining customers without power will have their service restored.
In, response, the Clark County government has opened cooling centers to help people who do not have electricity, and therefore no air-conditioning, and tour the heat along with the humidity that comes with the rain.
This afternoon, Clark County posted on social media letting the public know that cooling center is still open for those who have not had power returned yet.

The Clark County Emergency Shelter at the LVCVA (South Hall, Room S2 with parking in the Platinum Lot on Joe W. Brown) remains open today for those impacted by the ongoing power outages.
Cooling sites are also activated again today for those impacted by the power outages.
Rules about pets at both the emergency shelter and cooling sites remain the same – pets are allowed if they are in an appropriate container/kennel. Residents with animals other than a dog or cat or with unique needs for their pet can call Animal Protection Services at 702-455-7710.
Buses are no longer running from the Walmart at 3075 E Tropicana, but RTC’s Paratransit remains available to those who might need it to get to the emergency shelter by calling 702-228-4800 and selecting option #3.
